The Sjømagasinet restaurant at Tjuvholmen in Oslo will be a culinary center for seafood and a venue with a focus on interior design. This is why Sjømagasinet chose the award-winning dispenser series Image Design from Tork.
Reputable Sjømagasinet at Tjuvholmen is both a catering establishment, outlet for fish and seafood and a center for cookery courses. Situated in a stunning lakeside location, sunlight reflects effortlessly from the sea´s surface to the restaurant ceiling, providing a natural play of light that reinforces the maritime experience. Architect Thomas Ness of Radius Design was tasked with designing Sjømagasinet with guests in mind. With the sea and the rustic seabed as a starting point, all the rooms in the restaurant are decorated with the modern dispenser series Tork Image Design.
Image Design has a simple and modern look and fits in all areas of the restaurant, ranging from dining and kitchen areas to the restrooms. It ensures consistency in the interior, which is important to us. In collaboration with Thomas Ness, we wanted to ensure that the interior reflected Sjømagasinet as a center for seafood, says Assistant Chef at Sjømagasinet, Frode Laupsa.
